Signs You Need Emergency Tree Service

1) Broken Branches: If there is severe storm activity or high winds, broken branches might be visible on your trees. This could be a sign that more extensive damage has occurred within the trunk and roots which will require immediate attention from a professional arborist or tree care specialist.

2) Leaning Trees: If a healthy-looking tree suddenly starts to lean towards one side it could mean its root system has been compromised due to soil erosion, construction work, storms, etc. It’s important to get this checked out by professionals as soon as possible since leaning trees pose a great risk not only to property but also to human safety if left unchecked for long periods of time.

Our full tree service process

Tree Pruning can be a challenging task, but with the right tools and techniques, it can be done effectively. Here are the steps our tree surgeons will follow.

Our process always starts with a telephone consultation with our customer and / or email discussion. At this stage of the process our expert tree surgeon or our secretary Michelle (who is also trained in tree surgery) will ask for images of the hedge to be worked on.

Our tree surgeon teams will look at the photograph and start outlining a plan of action, together with a free quotation.

Examine the tree and check for any signs of disease or any dead branches, which should be removed immediately to prevent further damage to the tree’s health.

Begin at one end of the tree and work your way to the other end. Hold the trimmer with both hands and make sure the blades are parallel to the ground. This will help you make a straight cut.

Use a sweeping motion to cut. Move the trimmer back and forth in a sweeping motion, making sure to cut only a small amount of foliage at a time. This will help you avoid cutting too much and damaging the hedge.

  1. Cut from the bottom up. Start trimming at the bottom of the hedge and work your way up. This will help you see where you have already cut and ensure that the hedge is even.

  2. Cut the top last. After you have trimmed the sides, it’s time to trim the top. Use a ladder if necessary to reach the top of the hedge. Cut the top in the same sweeping motion as the sides, making sure to keep the blades parallel to the ground.

Take a few steps back and look at the hedge from a distance. Make any necessary adjustments to the shape or height.

Once you have finished trimming, remove any clippings from the tarp or sheet and dispose of them properly.

Regular trimming will help keep the hedge looking its best. Make sure to trim the hedge at least once a year, or more often if necessary.
